L ike an oasis in the midst of barren canyons, this unique hotel appears to those who are driving down the canyon on winding roads for the first time. Up to the hidden entrance portal of the Amangiri in Utah. With the Arizona border just a stone's throw away, the landscape looks almost as it was when the Navajo lived for centuries. Untouched, rugged, beautiful.
The unusual treatments in the spa of the luxury hotel are also inspired by this story, many of the treatments work with the four elements earth, wind, fire and water. The pavilion in the middle of a pool, with a fireplace and a rock wall as a natural boundary is one of the highlights for those looking for relaxation. After one of the “Amangiri Spa Journeys” including a cedar smoke ceremony and plant essences, anyone who settles down on loungers made of walnut wood will just ask themselves: Stress, what was that again?
Andrea Karg about Amangiri, Utah: “This unique place was a great place to recover from the hustle and bustle of business. And suffered the sore muscles of my life. The many mountains and hiking trails in the area were just too tempting, so my husband and I scrambled happily. Rope up, belay twice on the so-called 'Iron Walk', the whole program. Even as a woman who is not exactly small, I had to stretch a lot to reach the iron hooks and move forward. You can still enjoy such unfamiliar movements for days, but feeling your body in such a holistic way remains a great experience. Not to mention the stunning view. My absolute hotel tip for enthusiastic hikers and spa fans!”
