Sustainability and environmental protection have been firmly anchored in the company philosophy from the very beginning. This is in the nature of things: Cashmere is durable and retains its value, as well as being environmentally friendly and biodegradable.

A quality standard that goes hand in hand with resource-saving production and responsibility for our planet. For a better and greener future.

At Allude, we want to make the world a little better every day and therefore try to keep our ecological footprint as small as possible. In order to work more sustainably, we implement various projects.

Shipment
Allude uses the sustainable service provider UPS for all B2B and B2C shipments. Furthermore, the CO2 emissions of every B2C order are completely captured by our "Carbon Capture" program and stored for thousands of years.

How it works:
For every order we receive, a formula is used to calculate estimated shipping emissions. Based on these estimates, a portion of our revenue goes to carbon removal companies that have been vetted by scientists at Carbon Direct. These companies use this money to to eliminate the CO2 emissions caused by our deliveries. All additional funds will go towards the further development of carbon removal technologies.

Heirloom
Heirloom's Direct Air Capture Technology improves the carbon mineralization process. Heirloom's technology accelerates the rate at which naturally occurring minerals capture CO₂, instead of using energy-intensive fans to suck in the air. more info

Reforestation
Every purchase in our shop leads to the planting of mangrove trees in Madagascar. We donate a percentage of every purchase to tree planting because reforestation efforts revitalize natural habitats, improve the health of coral reefs, support local livelihoods and help fight climate change. by binding CO2 from the air.

The trees are planted by Eden Reforestation Projects in collaboration with thegoodapi.com. For more information about these projects, you are cordially invited to get to know these exciting projects better.

Packaging
OEKO-TEX

Allude offers sustainable packaging solutions and uses biodegradable poly bags made from recycled plastic. Hangtags, labels and inserts are 100% pre-consumer recycled and made from certified OEKO-TEX materials. Packing bags are made from 100% recycled paper.

All cardboard boxes are made from 100% recycled material. We only print on recycled paper from Evercopy (Prestige 80 g). Where possible, all prints are printed on both sides.

Upcycling/Recycling
At the Allude Cashmere Clinic, cashmere items are repaired and given new life – a sustainability strategy that increases the durability of knitwear garments and extends their wear life.

Allude donates used printer cartridges to Recycling4smile, a program run by the charity RED-NOSES International. The company only uses reusable glass bottles.

Mobility/Energy
The Allude headquarters, the stores and the Cashmere Clinic use 100% green electricity and 100% green gas.
