Cashmere Clinic Master Class
Allude - A great success
A special event took place on Thursday evening and Friday afternoon in the atmospheric setting of Allude's headquarters, attracting both the press and the public: the Masterclass on the theme "Repair before you Replace". This groundbreaking initiative highlights Allude's commitment to sustainability and the preservation of craftsmanship.
Thursday evening: Exclusive event for the press
The first evening was reserved exclusively for media representatives and influencers from the fashion industry. In an intimate setting, the philosophy behind "Repair before you Replace" was presented. The Allude team opened the event with a passionate speech about the importance of longevity and sustainability in fashion. The invited guests had the opportunity to speak directly to the experts and try their hand at darning knitwear. These interactive sessions gave deep insights into techniques and the know-how required to repair and revive damaged cashmere products.
Friday afternoon: Open to the public
The next day, Allude opened its doors to participants in the masterclass, allowing the interested audience to learn valuable knitting skills.
Participants were thrilled to have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced masters of art darning. They were particularly impressed by the demonstration of how small damages can be effectively repaired to significantly extend the life of the treasured pieces.
The reactions
The response to both events was overwhelmingly positive. Participants and press praised Allude for its initiative to raise awareness and offer practical solutions to a widespread problem: overcoming overconsumption in the fashion industry. On social media, many shared their personal experiences and newfound skills with pictures of their "refreshed" favorite pieces.
A look into the future
With “Repair before you Replace”, Allude has not only launched an event, but also started a movement. It is about promoting a more sustainable approach to fashion and imparting the knowledge and skills to really appreciate clothing and care for it properly.
We are excited to see how this initiative continues to grow and inspire more people to take more care and maintenance of their clothes.
