Festival fever: Allude goes Coachella 2017
While the thermometer here only manages a crisp ten degrees, California is already preparing for the outdoor season. If you're still thinking about planning a vacation (or rather, escaping the cold temperatures), combine it with the legendary Coachella festival. In addition to cool music and art, countless stars from Kate Bosworth to Diane Kruger cavort here. In the Allude Coachella Guide, we tell you what must not be missing on this trip! See you in the desert...
tennis
Instead of smashing felt ball after felt ball over the net, Alaina Moore and Patrick Riley surprise with a soft surf pop melody, which is best danced to barefoot in a light dress. Forget the "Summer of 69", because the summer of 2017 will be at least as memorable thanks to "Ladies don't play Guitar"!
little dragon
After the Swedish synth-pop band was last heard from in 2014, Little Dragon released a new single just in time for Valentine's Day, which should make the hearts of their die-hard fans beat faster. "High" is exactly what the title suggests: psychedelic, trendy, captivating. So the perfect track to end the day at work or at the festival.
Allah-Las
The Doors may have been hyped for a long time, but the Californian rock band Allah-Las, whose sound is reminiscent of Jim Morrison and Co., could soon become a legend. Favourite song? Pretty much any. Just put on your sunglasses, roll down the car window and turn the volume knob all the way to the right. Coachella here we come!
BEAUTY
Sun protection from Aesop
Admittedly, applying lotion on the go can be quite annoying. Especially if you don't want to miss your favorite live act . The soft formulation of Aesop's "Protective Body Lotion" also protects against harmful UVA and UVB rays for up to four hours with SPF 50 and smells wonderfully of peppermint and lavender.
Clinique Fresh Pressed Vitamin C Booster
While freshly squeezed smoothies and chia pudding are rather scarce in the music desert, at least our skin is having a really good time. Clinique's 'Fresh Pressed' booster is enriched with pure vitamin C and simply mixes into your daily moisturizer. Just two drops of the highly concentrated formula make the traces of lack of sleep disappear.
Nurse Jamie's Massage Roller (via Net-Ã-Porter )
Treat yourself to a quick massage between Lady Gaga and Bon Iver? With Nurse Jamie's handy "Uplift" massage roller, you can even do this while you're queuing at a booth for a cold Mate soda. The roller, covered with tourmaline quartz, stimulates blood circulation and ensures a refreshed complexion in just a few seconds. Tip from us: Put it in the cool box for a few minutes!
Pinch Shemergency cosmetic kit
No matter how many packing lists you write before departure, there is always something missing at your destination. That won't happen anymore with the "Shemergency" Beauty Kit. In addition to nail polish remover wipes, tape and nail clippers, the 40-piece mini case also contains a brush and deodorant wipes .
ACCESSORIES
Sun hat "Currently Offline" by Eugenia Kim
The former Parsons School of Design student just wanted to hide her messed-up haircut under her first hat. However, the unusual headdress attracted so much attention that designer Eugenia Kim finally founded her own label in 1989. Since then, simple hats with messages ranging from the charming to the cheeky have been her specialty.
Cutler & Gross sunglasses
VIPs from Keira Knightley to Victoria Beckham swear by the sunglasses of the British label Cutler & Gross. This casual model in the John Lennon look not only hides dark circles after a long night of partying, but also reminds of lighting moods in California with its color gradient.
Parrot ZIK 3 headphones
Before your favorite band takes the stage, getting in the mood via a playlist is a top priority at the festival. Ideally suited for this: the "ZIK 3" from Parrot, developed with star designer Philippe Starck. Great: Background noise can be hidden via the app.
Cashmere blanket from Allude
Glamping is calling ! Whether on the move, in a tent or in the open air: the cuddly soft cashmere blanket with virgin wool from Allude is the perfect festival companion. Keeps you warm, rolls up into a comfortable seat cushion and transforms even the most improvised dwelling on the road into an oasis of luxury.
FASHION
Graphic poncho from Allude
This graphic poncho from Allude's Spring/Summer Collection 2017 is quick to put on and quite versatile. It can be transformed into three outfits with little effort: as an elegant cover-up with a skirt, as an oversized top with shorts or as a fitted top that is accentuated with a belt. Particularly beautiful: the fringes bob to the beat of the dance music.
Skirt by Allude
While on the first day of the festival there is still a lot of time to put together your outfit – a wreath of flowers in your hair? Gold adhesive tattoos? dress or shorts? – 24 hours later, the woman quickly slips into the next best outfit and hurries to the next act. The perfect companion for last-minute moments? This slit skirt made of merino wool, which together with a wonderfully simple shirt and sandals becomes a practical all-round combination.
Mesh tunic dress from Allude
When the Californian sun is really blazing, even the thinnest layer of fabric is quickly too much. Nobody has to walk through the crowd in a bikini, because this light tunic dress is particularly airy thanks to the openwork technique. Cool with shorts and an elegant bikini top in bright colors.
Cashmere scarf from Allude
The inconspicuous accessory made of pure cashmere saves space in the suitcase and is versatile. With a few clever tricks, it can be turned into an awning, dress or top, for example. How it works? Simply enter scarf dress or scarf tying techniques in the YouTube search and get started!
