A few weeks ago, photographer Anne Combaz captured the tense backstage atmosphere of our fall/winter 2015/2016 collection show while still in Paris. Not her first successful assignment for Allude. Anne's sensibility and watchful eye never misses those rare moments where fashion, beauty and emotion blend into a picture full of poetry. In addition to Allude, she also works for brands such as Burberry, Chanel and Diesel, and photos of Anne Combaz can also be found in magazines such as "Bite" or "Schön".
The Parisian is not a woman of big words, she prefers to express herself with her camera. Nevertheless, we asked Anne to talk about the creative work she started in Cairo ten years ago, her cultural favorites and the perfect selfie. Enjoy yourself!
How does your day start?
First thing I do is put my contact lenses in.
Which beauty product do you trust?
Sleep!
The coolest song on your iPod or iPhone?
Definitely the title "Sa Jeunesse" by old master Charles Aznavour. Incidentally, the homage album of the same name from 2014, on which many great French artists interpret his greatest hits, is also great. Exciting!

Well, I dress casually for work. And mostly in black (see photo).

Yes, that was a sweater someone gave me. I still have him.
Do you have a favorite piece from the Allude collection?
I absolutely adore the Home Collection cashmere throws .
What surprised you about working with Andrea Karg?
We met behind the scenes of her fashion show in Paris. What I think is great and didn't know is that she always tries on each piece herself and personally controls the optimal cut for the future customer. Andrea Karg is so passionate about it, so highly professional and a truly admirable woman!
When did you discover your passion for photography?
As a child, my father gave me a very simple little camera. That's how it all started.

The selected section, i.e. the composition, and of course the light.

The only advice I have is this: experiment with the overexposure and underexposure tools in each photo app to get more out of every snapshot.
your greatest treasure?
My dog and my birds.
What has been your best assignment as a photographer so far?
When I was allowed to travel to the breathtaking metropolis of Sydney for Chanel to photograph the exhibition "The Little Black Dress". There I had the opportunity to meet Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld - and to fall in love with the city itself. I can't wait to go back there!
what makes you happy
to be in nature. Offline and in the moment.
Your best book tip?
The historical novel "Salambo" by Gustave Flaubert, published in 1862. It is about a mercenary uprising in North Africa in the aftermath of the First Punic War of 241 BC. Chr.
