Très Alpine: Allude at the Berlin Mode Salon FW 17/18
T he German (fashion) capital is less associated with snow-covered slopes and rapid Poist descents, but Andrea Karg chose the thrilling motto for her presentation at Der Berliner Mode Salon : Très Alpine. What's more, the founder and creative director of Allude for the first time concentrated entirely on luxury cashmere for men, a welcome change from the predominantly women's focus of the once again successful event in the magnificent Kronprinzenpalais.
Fashion Designed in Germany was once again the focus of a diverse exhibition covering all floors of the historic building on Unter den Linden. Around 1,200 guests from the fashion industry, media, culture and society marveled at the presentations by the more than forty designers and labels represented.
The dreary weather was forgotten at the latest when looking at the strong blue and red tones and a light gray of the Allude Men Collection. Très Alpine, for Andrea Karg and her team, meant a modern interpretation of the winter sports jet set of the 1960s and 1970s, when Hollywood stars and Europe's high society transformed ice and snow into sophisticated coolness between the chalet and the ski lift. Finely ribbed cashmere sweaters and jogging pants with silver appliqués on the pockets for a portion of "Space Age", coarsely knitted hats and headbands, lined cardigans and waistcoats... Rarely has the fashion winter been so warm, no: hot.
In our gallery you can look behind the scenes, see the first sketches and finally the final collection show in Berlin. Let's go!
