There are good reasons why he is one of the most photographed male fashion editors in Germany. In his outfits, Kostantin Spachis manages to combine the glamor of old Hollywood, the casual esprit of European jetsetters in the 1960s and the style sensibility of the “Now”. Spachis, now at home at “Madame” magazine, was happy to answer our questions:
My first fashion memory:
How I envied Alicia Silverstone's wardrobe from Clueless.
I would describe my style like this:
Courageously conservative.
My personal style trick:
A slim-fitting turtleneck sweater goes with everything, preferably made of wool with silk for spring and summer. Sexy and sophisticated.
The most important rule in my own style guide:
The most important thing is and remains proportions, proportions, proportions.
My favorite summer trend:
The safari chic of the Seventies, as perfected by Yves Saint Laurent himself.
Here's how I would wear this trend:
If you're not ready to be as flamboyant as Veruschka once was, try a belted safari jacket and artfully ripped jeans.
My favorite piece from the Allude Spring/Summer 2016 collection:
The number 13 look is my absolute favorite. A perfect summer style for the modern gentlewoman .
As a stylist/fashion editor I couldn't live without:
Excitement.
My style icon:
Stefano Pilati. Any explanation is unnecessary.
I'm reading now:
“The art of leading a creative life” by Frank Berzbach.
Top 3 websites in my browser bookmarks:
MrPorter.com, VogueRunway.com and, as a guilty pleasure, the “ Superficial ” Facebook page.
A song that always makes me dance straight away:
The Hex Hector remix of JLo's "Waiting for Tonight."
