The Art of Cashmere 2026
Once a year, a capsule collection is created outside the usual seasonal rhythm. The Art of Cashmere brings together a small selection of designs that Andrea Karg herself particularly enjoys wearing.
The starting point is less about a specific season and more about the question of which pieces can endure beyond one.
Material, cut, and workmanship are conceived with long-term wear in mind. The cashmere is selected based on its feel, quality, and how it holds up over the years. The silhouettes are clear, understated, and deliberately not tied to a single moment. These are designs that do not need to define themselves through trendiness.
This year's capsule was photographed in Cape Town, in the Mutual Building. The 1930s Art Deco building is characterized by marble, brass, geometric forms, and a precision in detail that remains visible to this day.
Many of its original elements have been preserved. This is precisely where its particular effect lies: the building bears the traces of its time without being dependent on it. Its materials have aged, its proportions have remained.
As the setting for the campaign, it creates a silent connection between architecture and clothing. In both cases, the focus is on material, workmanship, and forms that are not meant for a fleeting moment.
Andrea Karg wears the campaign pieces herself. A natural choice, as the capsule consists of those designs she also chooses for her own wardrobe.
The Art of Cashmere is therefore less of a statement about a season and more a selection of what is meant to last.
