As much as we love the long and hot summer days, we long for a refreshing cool down and a jump into the cool water. The book title “Take me to the Lakes” couldn’t describe our desire better. Behind the title is a book series that is stylishly dedicated to the most beautiful lakes and waters of major German cities and their surrounding areas. There are currently three editions: the Berlin Guide, North Rhine-Westphalia Guide and the newly released Munich Guide.
T he two authors Karolina Rosina and Nils Kraiczy show in their book volumes that paradise is sometimes right on the doorstep: remote bays, crystal-clear mountain lakes with mountain panoramas or beaches for the whole family. With expressive photos, the two present their 50 favorite lakes and give practical tips, insider recommendations and the coordinates of the seaside resorts. In addition to the beautiful lakes, unusual accommodations near the shore are also presented, such as modernly interpreted farmer's huts or creative architect's houses. “Take me to the Lakes” is the ultimate summer guide for a quick cool-down after work, a day trip in the idyllic surrounding area or for a relaxing weekend trip in the perfect house on the lake.
