Allude & Friends: Jennifer Dixon, fashion director of InStyle

A s fashion director of the magazine "InStyle", Jennifer Dixon not only knows every look from the catwalk very well, but also the style of Hollywood stars, it girls and pop celebrities. High time to ask her about her personal wardrobe principles:

My first fashion memory:
Barbie! 50 dolls, dozens of outfits, every day!

I would describe my style like this:
Very "clean" with accents - and hopefully always appropriate to the occasion.

The most important rule in my own style guide:
My look should be unexcited and just not too trying or appearing.

My favorite winter trend:
The layered look in all its variants and silhouettes.

And this is how I would wear these trends:
Flared pants with a knee-length blazer vest or a floor-length skirt with an oversize knit.

My favorite piece from the Allude Autumn/Winter 2015/2016 collection:
#5 of the show, the long burgundy knit dress. A wool dress is at the top of my shopping wish list for winter.

Allude Fall/Winter 2015/2016 collection

Best style advice I've ever received:
I am inspired by the clothes, style and spirit of different women. I can't pick any at all.

As a stylist/fashion editor, I couldn't live without:
Shoes! Only they make an outfit really complete.

My style icon:
Kate Moss, she is and remains the coolest woman ever !

I'm reading now:
The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt is the last book I read and loved.

The top 3 websites in my browser bookmarks:
Style.com and dailymail.co.uk.

A song that always makes me dance immediately:
Everything by Beyoncé - and always "Are You Ready for Love" by Elton John.
